Loving parents and devoted husband and wife, Rahim and Nazifa Shahghasy were viciously attacked and murdered by a stranger on April 30, 2008 outside a Brampton strip mall following a midday appointment.
Their untimely demise has devastated family and shocked an entire community who are left to wonder why such a grave tragedy befell on such an endearing pair. They leave behind a son and daughter, ages 21 and 19, who must shoulder the expense of burying their parents and maintaining their home as they come to terms with this tragedy.
This is a loss for the entire community, as the love of Rahim and Nazifa was an example for all people. Nazifa’s joyful and fun loving spirit matched perfectly with Rahim’s generous and empathetic nature. They brought out the best in each other and used it to enrich the lives of everyone around them. Rahim and Nazifa looked at each other with the same loving eyes as the day they first met. In their last moments together, the couple’s love stayed strong as Rahim was struck down while trying to save his beloved Nazifa; a true testament of devotion.
Rahim and Nazifa raised two beautiful children who carry on these same values, and they need our help.
